Dance Factory Review

Dance Factory is a unique dance mat-compatible music title for the Ps2, with the ability to take songs from any music CD and automatically generate dance moves to play along with the game. First over the parapet with a full review of the game is IGN, who beleive the developers (Broadsword Interactive) threw away the rule book in designing the game. So impressed were IGN they gave the game an impressive 8.5 on the richter scale.

  5. I saw this game yesterday and wonder how good it was. If IGN gave it an 8.5, I might have to give it a try.

I like dance games but I'm no master. I play for casual fun.

  7. ah the philosophy mat...Health and safety risk, had to move it... blogger rules...... I got a new prayer mat, but it's the wrong colour for the room.....

Can't see myself playing this on my own Gamer C, but late night party time....ideal for dislocating old peoples bones....

  10. Other sources besides EGM have said that Dance Factory isn't so hot...

The steps in the game are randomly generated and not set up by the developers, which can suck the fun out of the game. I'd suggest DDR Extreme 2 if you want a fun dancing game. Dance Factory is the equivilant and putting on your cd player and acting like your stepping on arrows without knowing what you're doing.

  12. I'd give it a spin, It might be a bit more forgiving than the last time I went to the arcade, which I sadly entitle in my life as :"How The Timerunner lost his groove."

Sad really, it was bad enough that the game booed me, but the onlookers too...

  13. Greetings gentleman,

Ross my experience of any dancing game unfortunately is akin to timerunners and your accurate description of stepping on arrows without knowing what i'm doin... but i see the big drawback.... which sortof ruins the whole image I had built up about the game, pity!

decades old and I never knew that Mr.Gnome, what a sheltered life I've led......

timerunner it's the taking part that counts.... well sometimes, I've never tried the arcade dance machines, I probably need hospitalisation...

    goes to answer the doorbell....

    ReplyDelete
  17. Sure would dear timerunner. Then again I'll probably buy it anyway...

25k yen, huh? Ok... The Mormons? Have you been watching South Park again, oh Elderly?

    ReplyDelete
  18. ah no..... not for a while now, South Park has been relegated to late night adult entertainment slots, our TV programme directors really haven't a clue.....

    ReplyDelete
  19. Oh, well... Then you shouldn't know that only Mormons are allowed in Heaven....
