61 Million Chinese Players online by 2010

Industry analysts are predicting the number of Chinese gamers online by 2010 will more than double figures estimated at 25.5 million in 2005. Story BBC news

The Chinese gaming industry is worth $683 million, with nearly one third of gamers spending 60 hrs a month playing games. Consultancy firm Niko Partners said "Chinese gamers' passion for massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs) has extended to the casual and premium casual segments," attributing the increase to rising demand for Broadband and the growing popularity of Internet cafes.
