Bioshock Faceplates

These Xbox 360 faceplates were part of 2K games promotional campaign for the game Bioshock. Almost exclusively given as gifts to GameStop managers, only 5,100 of them were ever made. Not surprising then that a few of these beauties have ended up on ebay, fetching close to $100 a piece.

Why would anyone pay money for a faceplate?

Bioshock mania. Darn, everywhere I look I can't avoid this game. I can't wait to get a 360.

it's held my rapt attention since Saturday, must admit I'm hooked.. can't see myself forking out $100 or more on a faceplate, but my 360 could do with a spring clean....

I'm the sort who WOULD pay silly money for that kind of shit... "Lucky" I don't have a 360! LOL! :)

see i knew we'd find a good point for not having a 360... another was having it lay dormant for nearly two months while i rediscovered my ps2...

The 360 is already a ticking time bomb with the "Red Ring of Death" fiasco. Opening up your 360 to install a faceplate is absurd.

uh.. you don't open it up to install a face plate, the front simply clicks off and you slap a new one on.

I brought my gf the viva pinata one, but I don't see what all the fuss is about with them.

The (US version) Bioshock faceplate actually looks quite nice, but the rest of the console is still going to be beige (or black if you have an elite, I guess)

indeed anon has a good point, while there is no need to open the 360 to mount a faceplate.. no matter what faceplate you instal, it looks pretty incongrous nesteld next to a hunk of beige...

Don't have time to be squandering money on faceplates when Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed are coming out.

quite... and with such prime examples of gameplay on the horizon (crosses fingers) every penny counts....
