Whilst I love this rendition of mack The Knife, showing Bobby's crooner side, my personal favourite has to be "Splish Splash".

*FK 'combs' bald head into a 'quiff' dons drapejacket and brothel creepers and bursts into song...*

"Spliash splash I was takin' a bath,
All about a Saturday Night,
Rub dub, just relaxin' in the tub,
Thinkin' everything was alright...

Well I stepped out of the tub,
Put my feet on the floor.
Good Golly Miss Molly just opened up the door,

Well!

Splish Splash, I jumped back in the bath,
Well how was I to know there was a party goin' on?..."

Why am I the only one singing?

Right bollocks...1,2,3...

"SEGA TAH SAN SHIROW...
SEGA TAH SAN SHIROW..."

etc. etc.

I can assure you J such posts will be rare, but the good news is when im finished with 1959 i'll be moving onto 1960, ....... well it's a small comfort I admit....

FC your rendition of Splish Splash, has quite enlivened me, and in you honour I may just take my annual abulution earlier than planned.....

Any chance of digging out a video of that old chestnut on Youtube Elderly and posting it here... (Splish Splash that is not the other one...)
I first heard it through "American Hotwax" (Double LP) the soundtrack to a film of the same name...

Oh and guess what? I'm getting stuck RIGHT INTO RE4 on PS2!!

AND LOVING IT!!!!!!!!!

"Arise ye workers from your slumbers
Arise ye prisoners of want
For reason in revolt now thunders
And at last ends the age of cant.
Away with all your superstitions
Servile masses arise, arise
We'll change henceforth the old tradition
And spurn the dust to win the prize."

Now, that's what I call music, really :) Ok, Splish Splash was good. In a capitalist way of course, but good...

WOW! WOW !WOW!

On how many other websites can you put in a'request' like on the wireless, and the host plays it for you????

what an excellent rendition and what an excellent way to start a Wednesday morning before work!!!!

Put me in quite a rockin' mood it has!!

particularly loved 'cod' English accent part way through (a defference to the 'English Invasion' of the early/mid sixties???)

Anyways, THANKYOU Elderly for your continued fabulousness and for being the true gent you are!! Here's to you!!!

*FK Raises steaming mug of Earl Grey to his mentor!!!*

You're one in a million!!!
