Army of Two First Look

Available for Ps3 and Xbox360 sometime in 2007, from EA's new Montreal studio. The game is set in the near future, where you take control of, as the name suggests, a two-man mercenary team doing high-risk paramilitary operations. The game is a third-person shooter allowing you to either play through the campaign with a friend, or issue orders to an intelligent computer-controlled teammate who may or may not obey the orders you give him.

Billed as the first game ever to put players inside tactical warfare involving Private Military Corporations. Reid Schneider, Senior Producer at EA Montreal noted, "This is the game we've always wanted to create. Until now, the hardware would not allow us to deliver truly intelligent AI characters."

Pah...another FPS. And the imagery so much reminded me of Fallout... Pity...

On a side note, I do hope that bethesda won't turn fallout 3 to an Oblivion-clone.

played the original fallout, and to be honest i wouldn't mind wandering around a wasteland oblivion style, however i would miss the turn based hexagonagnaog.ll? combat.... i loved that bit.....

Yes it was perfect... Perhaps you should try fallout tactics... All it has is Fallout's combat, only squad based. Unfortunately no nudie bits are included, but quite a nice game...

i saw the reviews, never played it, it seemed from the reviews as just a rip off of a great pc game. Now you've given it a thumbs up, i'm going to try it....

thanks my gnome, (anoints gnome with incence smoke and precious oils)

Welcome old boy...

Mind you it's pure combat. No RPG elements and other happy stuff.

are the backdrops/scenery plasticky like baldurs gate on ps2,

Havent seen Baldurs 2 on PS2 (or the PC, not yet at least), but the scenery is a bit more plasticky than the original fallout.

like molded plastic hills and stones, i hated that on the ps2, the scenery was so false,

No, no, not that bad... Just a bit shinier than the first two games...

Well, it really isn't that much of a game... ends up being quite a chore...

Put the tome down. Forget. Good.

Have a cookie.
