Watchmen Graphic Novel

A Hugo Award winning graphic novel created by writer Alan Moore, artist Dave Gibbons, and colorist John Higgins. The twelve issue series was originally published by DC Comics during 1986 and 1987, and subsequently reprinted in this collected form.

Watchmen chronicles the fall from grace of a group of super heroes plagued by all too human failings. Along the way, the concept of the super-hero is dissected as the heroes are stalked by an unknown assassin.

Arguably one of the most influential graphic novels of all time and a perennial bestseller, Watchmen  is considered a gateway title, leading readers to other graphic novels such as V For Vendetta, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns and The Sandman.

416 pages available in paperback and hardcover.

Ah a fine publication this is... Read it many years ago when it first came out. I actually think the film was a very good adaptation. I have to say that reading the book after seeing the film may be something of an anti-climax... I also really enjoyed the Alan.Moore 'swamp thing' comix from around the same period. Hello dear elderly, I trust all is well with you?

I started off with V for Vendetta long before it became a symbol for dissent, mr. Moore does hit the places other writers can only dream off! havent' seen the Watchmen movie yet, and by your account I have something to look forward to....
