Captain America Console Mod

Xbox 360 mod

Captain America Console Mod

Xbox 360 Console mod

Given that applying a plastic decal and changing my xbox 360 faceplate is the complete extent of my console modding experience I'm constanly amazed at the lengths that a rare breed of gamers go to, to create their dream console.

Take design student Zachariah Perry Cruse, who integrated a blue LED for the power button, mounted a raised shield on one side and embellished the opposite with the classic Avengers "A" and wings.

Simple and elegant.

Alf The Helper: How'd he do that then?
Elderly: I don't know, but I do know he does commissions
Alf The Helper: Do you think he'd do a Scarlett Johansson mod?
Elderly: A Black Widow mod.. sure I reckon he....
Alf The Helper: No!...... a Scarlett Johansson.... actress mod...
Elderly: She still hasn't replied to your tweets has she?
Alf The Helper: ..well not exactly no.. but these things take time...
Elderly:  Indeed, an eternity.....
Alf The Helper: :(

Wow! That's better than the official ones. Puts my R2D2 Xbox to shame.

You got an R2D2? But you, how did? Wait you got an R2D2 Xbox mod?
Hang on I'll just pick up my jaw, make us a nice cup of tea and then you can tell me all bout it.

It's a gem, :) hadn't seen this before, you got the gold controller as well?

(Pours Bickle more tea...)

Alf where did we get this tea, it's rather nice!!!

It's a rare Chinese tea called Tieguanyin, named after the Buddhist deity Guan Yi. It’s an oolong tea, meaning its oxidization is somewhere between that of black and green teas...

Zzzzzzz.

(...Bickle awakens from deep slumber...)

Wow that was... er... a great tea description there Alf... Most enlightening, and refreshing!

Yeah, sorry Mr. Elderly, where were we? Ah yes, yes it does indeed include the gold controller. The likeness of which is supposed to resemble C3-PO. Fortunately in the shape of a regular xbox controller (wielding a fully sized C3-PO to control video games was proving cumbersome during the prototype phase of development.)

They should have made the console look *exactly* like R2-D2 though. Now that would have been amazing!

Apologies for Alf mr.Bickle he dosen't normally get the chance to rabbit on so....

Yes where were we....

:) Well I can understand the C3-Po prototype dilemna, still the console and the controller do look rather.....wish I had gotten one stylish..

(...loses himself in reveries of a what a facimile R2D2 console would look like...)

(Alf pours more tea....)
