Awesome work yet again! This makes me want to partake in forums again so I can sport one of these! Like Hyclen says above, they're DIAMOND! And they kick level 4 ass 24 hours a day (I think that's what he's saying anyway...)

Thanks Bickle :) thanks to Alf's insistance, itlooks like I'll be visiting a virtual sau paulo this weekend!! And I've learned a new word... Bulletporn....! As for Hyclen I'm afraid he had to leave in a hurry..

Yeah Sao Paolo, Brazil - a city and country I will never ever ever visit in real life thanks to Max Payne 3 lol. Virtual destinations ftw!

Bulletporn! BULLETPORN! I had to say it, nay, shout it! I've never heard of this word previously!

Good to see you ushered Hyclen out of the door, he seemed like a boorish oaf anyway. Just hope he doesn't try and come round mine for a beer :(

Hiya :) ah yes dear old Hyclen, you should be safe though, he's been erm... "contained" in my Spam Comment box...

As for bulletporn... I can't wait.. my fingers are tingling... tempted to pick up Dragon's Dogma... endless rolling countryside and dragons... hmmmmm

Did you get the Dogma? I picked it up in the shop and was about two seconds away from walking over to the counter with it but managed to resist. I think if I hadn't bought Amalur I world have defo got the 'Dog 8(

Hiya Bickle :) The "Dog" is in my possession and loving it, not as rough around the edges as I expected (graphics 80% compared to Witcher), but thus far it's held me in thrall, mind you I did create a Triss Marigold lookalike which may be responsbile.

Big downer is the constant "comments" by your pawn, really frustrating at times :( hope the hell they fix it..

Starting with a rusty sword, shield and a fisherman's outfit... the way all rpg's should start, created my first primary pawn, killed me a few Goblins and wolves, collected some flowers to heal the villagers and watched the sun set over a torch lit beach....

A bit of a button basher on my first monster, a troll... and not altogether pleasing, didn't feel I had much of a part in his downfall.

Perhaps because it's so new, but it'll be the "Dog" for my principal gaming pleasure this evening, while Max, Geralt and mr Amalur lie dormant...

There has to be a catch...

"This way master..."

So what are pawns then in this context? Expendable er... pawns, for battles? Or is there more to them?

Sounds like one of those really absorbing type games if you spent time watching a sunset. I still catch myself looking at the sea or rivers sometimes in games. The water effects have been brill on this gen of consoles.

Pubs and taverns have also been great in recent games and RPGs.

"Drinks are this way master..."

Now that's a constant comment I could live with.. hee hee..

Pawns all 3 of them, are AI controlled team members, one given to your for free at the start of the game, one you "create" andone you "hire" which has been created by another online player.

The pawn you hire typically has more "experience" of some of the missions, warning you of dangers and given you advice on missions they've been through with the other online player.

Meanwhile your created pawn is soaking up all the information and whilst online can be "hired" (earning you some spending power for future pawn contracts) by another online Dogma player, who in turn is aided in their missions by the experience of your created pawn...

Haven't lost a pawn yet, but If your "hired" pawn dies and you survive, you lose all the enhancements and armor you purchased for them, which are "gifted" to the online player.

So far my pawn (created in my likeness) has earned about 600points and brought back kindling, linen, berries and some herbs... but waiting for the big payday...

I'm pooped after all that...

Woo thanks for the pawn info, beautifully described! Sounds like a clever and unique little game mechanic going on there. I like the idea if my pawn existing in someone else's game world/dimension and bringing back booty once in a while. Intriguing concept!

It has hooked me that's for sure, the lighting and the ambience in the game is memorable.

Passed by Game of Thrones this evening, this is definitely the year of the RPG, and the notion I may have to retire early....
