Urban Chaos: Riot Response (ps2,xbox)

Urban Chaos set for release in US on June 6th and Europe on June 30th and rated M for mature. A first-person shooter where you play as Nick Mason, a man returning home from military service to find his city overrun by gang warfare. He joins the G18 Counter Gang Division, a special organization granted emergency powers over all public services. With control over the Police, Fire Department, and Paramedics, you'll fight to save lives, property, and the future of your home.

Interesting and clever little tweak on the official website is a "channel 7" mockup news site featuring updates on the riots for US, UK, German and French audiences.

Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift Review

Slated to be a statistic Metacritic awarded a score of just 61% from just 5 reviews.

Reviews Summary
Excellent physics model, driving skills can be honed to perfection
Game feels too familiar (? presumably if you've played TXR or TXR2)
Narrow winding roads takes original TXR and makes it worse
Cheap or not, it dosen't come close to it's contemporaries
Budget title plain and simple

Review quote of the month from G4 TV
"TXR Drift is about as essential as a two-foot high spoiler on the back of your mom's minivan"

Samurai Champloo: Sidetracked (ps2) Review

Scoring a debatably average 70% from 15 reviews on Metacritic
This hip-hop inspired Samurai game based on the hit TV show is sure to please fans of the series.

Reviews Summary
Fun gameplay, amazing style, great story, presentation, and awesome music
Does alot that's interesting for a little while
About 15 hours to complete and quite a bit of collecting
Style isn't as strong as the tv series
By no means perfect, but for fans it smells sweet
No camera control leaves you with less than optimal viewing point at times
Gameplay gets tedious, but goofy humour and style make it more than average
Faithful to the show, non fans will feel like it's an uglier version of other games
Entertaining hack and slash adventure, a good game with few bugs
If your a fan you'll fall in love with Sidetracked
Taxing level design, saved from being a statistic by wackiness and presentation

Kingdom Hearts II Review

Scoring a deserved 89% from a wealth of 33 reviews on Metacritic, and hitting the top of the charts on both search engine lists and gamestat's buzz rating.

Reviews Summary
Simple addictive gameplay, backed by mostly solid gameplay
Outstanding storyline but assistant characters suffer from poor AI
All round excellent game, looks phenomenal plays even better
Definite let down, combat was way too simple, eventually unfulfilling and boring
More focused than it's predecessor, truly an action adventure
Earns a place amongst the most beautiful and exciting adventures of recent times
Excels at Story, Characters and recreation of classic fantasies
A wonderful synthesis of elements, a blast playable by anyone
Superior to KH, the game is longer, a cameo infused joyride
It is the story, with its endearing characters, epic confrontations, and masterful dialog that makes the experience work.

Fantasy Art #4 Victoria Frances

Born Valencia, Spain, Victoria Frances cites as her influence the art of Luis Royo and Brom and the writing of Edgar Alan Poe, Anne Rice and HP lovecraft. Making her first public appearance in 2004 at the Barcelona comic fair dressed in the same flowing style as her characters. Her goth-inspired art is typified by ghostly women in long dresses. Victoria Frances created her first book of a gothic romantic fantasy reminiscent of Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles, filled with tales of vampires, magic, and the undying spirit of lovers which reaches across the centuries.
Principal publications to date: Favole Stone Tears, Favole Free Me, Angel Wings
