The Darkness Review (xbox 360, Ps3)

Dark modern crime drama and supernatural horror with intense first person non-linear gameplay scores well with averages of 83% for xbox360 and 85% for Ps3, from Metacritic.com

Xbox 360 Summary
The Darkness delivers on every level.
The game's biggest problem is all the filler between the reasonably exciting combat sequences.
A remarkable action game that tells a compelling story from start to finish.
Worth checking out for its unusual ideas, twisted gameplay elements, and uniquely dark atmosphere. Draconian just-one-save system,
It's a stunning achievement, it's too bad that the AI and gameplay mechanics couldn't be smoothed out

Ps3 Summary
The best bits of mafia and war films, producing one complete, intriguing experience
The Darkness will keep you enthralled, even when the gameplay lags a little behind.
It’s like a great amusement park ride: fun while it lasts.
Some core problems hiding in the shadows, like underlying structure and play that just don’t completely congeal.
Amazing narrative, believability of characters, and the twisted joys that come from being a slave of a demon, impressive visual presentation.

I'm going to have to play this for myself... lokks like a fun game to play with the lights off, on the big screen, and surround sound cranked...

Its another one of those games that inspires 'Xbox envy' in me. It's a condition that I feel more and more as various new games come out... Forza Motor Sport is one, VF5 is one, and the upcoming RE5 is another...

not being able to resist the call of the Darkness, i can attest to it's adult charm.... now stuck in the trenches during the first world war slaughtering German soldiers.... didn't expect that when i rose this morning!!! having sacrificed 4 360 titles for this beauty i'm now trying to figure out a way i can get "call of juarez" as well..... (looks at credit card, looks at skimask....)

How could a gnome use a skimask via the web though?

There are ways and means Gnome, ways and means...

a skimask on the web... indeed it is possible as FK pointed out.... but you'd have to take your hat off

my problem is using the skimask and heading into an online store and picking myself up a copy of Call of Juarez for free.....

....maybe if i walked in backwards....!!!
