While still not available as a Walker's Crisp flavour, when a book sells 38.6million copies and Tom Hanks agrees to star in a film version, then rest assured there's someone willing to gamble on turning it into a game.

And so it came to pass that 2K Games have selected The Collective to develop a video game based on the Da Vinci Code film, which is slated for release on PC, Xbox and Ps2 this spring. A mixture of puzzles and action, the Da Vinci Code will bring the settings from both the book and the movie to life in a suspense-filled world. Playing as Professor Robert Langdon, in the process of solving a seemingly simple murder, you uncover a 2,000-year-old conspiracy through clues encoded in paintings by Leonardo Da Vinci. The game is slated for release with the film this spring.

Gundam Battlefield Pod

Just found what I want for Christmas. The unit features a semi-spherical screen, with online capability for up to 16 players. Two joysticks and two footpedals allow the gamer to "step inside" a gundam suit and blast away to your hearts content. Rest assured however that the unit at present is only available in Japanese Arcades, where gamers have reported having to queue for hour and a half to play.

InterStellar Marines Pre E3 Trailer (xbox360, Ps3)

Formerly known as Project Im, Zero Point software have updated the Official Website with a pre-E3 version of their Trailer, a HD version is available from Gametrailers.com.

With a planned release on PC, Xbox360 and Ps3, the game puts the player in the role of an Interstellar Marine and lets him experience the thrill of an FPS in outer space where his/her decisions can affect (wait for it) the future of mankind.

Set to use Epic Games Unreal 3 engine, the 17+ rated sci-fi action adventure, promises an unpredictable storyline, featuring co-operative play with a heavy focus on realism. However a shark with dinosaur feet is pushing it a tad. While the guns look the business I remain to be convinced.
