Dead Rising review

1up have beaten the posse to the first full review of Dead Rising ( applause!!!) and just in time for its shop appearance on the 8th August. The probably by now very tired reviewer, James Mielke at 1up, has awarded the game an impressive 8 out of 10.

update! review on Gamebrink 84%

Players take on the role of a photo journalist who is in a mall when zombies attack in an attempt to kill anyone who is still human (as you do if your a zombie). It's up to you to find a way to survive the attacks, try to save survivors and manage the group, cause if you don't, you'll wind up becoming a zombie yourself.

hiya gamer C, i've had my appetite whetted by the reviews, i wasn't all that pushed before. I gave up on downloading the xboxlive demo, so a couple of more positive reviews and i may be living on bread and water for the week..... but happily playing Dead Rising.....

Hah! I'm sure these games just wouldn't dare look a certain zombie nurse I know in the eyes...

Pansies.

gulp!........ wait now..... what Zombie nurse...... i thought you..... I mean...... completely dead....

(runs to the window.........) She's gone.... Gnome what have you done?

A slight miscalculation I believe... Don't worry though dear friend... I'm in the middle of an "Ask-an-die" rite, that will surely banish her for good (or evil).

relax.

Here have some tequila...

This looks like a really good game - the sheer number of stuff happening on the screen at any one time is unprecedented. A game worth getting a 360 for though?

ahh no Gnome, i though she was gone..... for good...... what "Ask-an-die" rite? what experience do you have with it? shouldn't you be licenced.... if she comes back.... gnome..... i'm moving into your house....

From what i've read Tomleecee, Dead rising is probably not worthy of a console purchase, Oblivion holds that prestigious place... considering i've only bought 4 games so far... the 360 wasn't that clever a purchase... though oblivion has i admit consumed my gaming life.... (hides silver short sword..and fur greaves)....

Feel free to oh dear and wise friend... But there won't be a need do.. These rites are part of the longest family tradition. That and both me and my father enjoy reading Pratchet's stuff.

Then again we could all go over at tomleece's place for some nice Dreamcast action...

bing!..... we could bring "it" with us to tomleecee's.... not that im suggesting for a moment your ceremony wouldn't work..... well i am...... but not blatantly. I certainly wouldn't like to upset your dad......

No. You really wouldn't. Besides the nurse is no more... I'm definite.

Unknown said...

jeez that was quick....... i can't thank you enough....... look im sorry for doubting you, but you know..... these re-incarnation ceremonies are new to me...

tell your dad thanks for me.....

phew i can relax now........

Dead Rising is a great Game It's worth buying if you own a 360, But not good enough for you to buy the 360 because of it.
