Blue Dragon Xbox360 preview

Already out in Japan with a release date still to be confirmed for the West, the game (spread across 3 discs ) has achieved a remarkable 37/40 (92%) from Famitsu weekly. Stock (10,000 units) of the special edition xbox360 bundle was sold out on release. The bundle included the 360 core system, 5 mini-figures, a faceplate and the game for the same price as a normal bundle.

Blue Dragaon is the first of two epic RPG projects for Microsoft by Mistwalker, the studio founded by Square-Enix's Hironobu Sakaguchi. Blue Dragon features characters by designer Akira Toriyama, and tells the story of a young boy named Shu, who battles enemies using his "Dragon Shadow."

Three discs long? That's a huge game for the 360!

I'm hoping this game does hit stateside. It looks intriguing plus the 360 needs some more rpgs.

brings me back to pc gaming days, the intro trailer looks ace... though a tad too cutesy for me...

The game can't be THAT big that it needs 3 DVD's. That's ridiculous. Surely it must be because of the Hi-def graphics or something...

The Elderly said...

quite correct, hi def movies, rather than use the in game 3d engine (like dead rising) they us high def movies which eats up disc space... gameplay is 40 to 50 hrs, which is impressive.....

Impressive yet cutesy then. Right. That's that.

as the actress said to the cardinal.......

and the jester to the thief....

The Elderly said...

no i've checked my sources the original dialogue took place between and actress and a cardinal.... perhaps the jester and the thief used the same reference material.... thief's are prone to that sort of thing......

Could this be the big break that the Japanese Xbox 360 needs?

Stay tuned.....

Yes, but who mentioned Japan first?

The Elderly said...

(holds up hand....) that's be me, first sentence.... though I would like to know who the very first person to say the word "Japan" was.. not that would be a 20 point question at a table quiz....

Uhm... my great grandmother discovered Japan... so maybe she... a) uttered this word for the first time in history b) created the highly skilled Japanese people c) was the head of the Japanese wing of the red army faction...

The Elderly said...

....(stares quizzically at Gnome)... your grandmother? discovered Japan? what was her name....? part from Grandmother Gnome that is?
