Soul Nomad and the World Eaters (Ps2) Previews

(aka Japan Soul Cradle: Sekai o Kurau Mono) Due September 25th in the Us with no word of an EU release. Vid upped by Takeshi1589

An rpg which sees you in a fight against the World Eaters, who, using a Disgaea like battle system, you must stop from.. well... eating the World. In a neat play twist however you are possessed by the spirit of a malevolent and egotistical god called Gig, tempting you all the while with the spoils of evil.

Warriors Orochi (Ps2, Xbox360)

Warriors Orochi, known in Japan as Musou Orochi was initially a PlayStation 2 action video game developed by Koei and Omega Force. the game being a crossover of two popular video game series, Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors (Specifically Dynasty Warriors 5 and Samurai Warriors 2). A port of the game was released for the XBox 360 in Japan on September 13 2007. A western version will see release alongside the localized Playstation 2 version in US September 18th and tba October in Europe.

Because Warriors Orochi is a crossover game, it takes the liberty of combining elements from both the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors games.

Fatal Fury Battle Archives Volume 1 (Ps2) Review

Originally set for release on August 7th in US, but seemed to have gone MIA, with no reviews upped until 16th August last. This compilation includes four classic Fatal Fury games: Fatal Fury 1, 2, 3 and Fatal Fury Special.

Reviews Summary

Gamezone 69%
Simply put, this collection is true to the first four 2D fighting games but somehow the series just doesn’t hold up as well as it did back in the day.

IGN 68%
A neat collection, but the games themselves aren't the best around. But if you're a diehard fan of 2D fighters, we recommend picking it up. In the meantime, you'll have to excuse me. I'm going to go practice my Burning Knuckle

Gamespot 6.5/10
If you're an SNK devotee or a serious fighting game connoisseur, you might enjoy the collection as a nostalgia piece or as an opportunity to revisit Fatal Fury Special.

Preview: Fantastic 4 Rise of the Silver Surfer

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer is a 2007 superhero film which is the sequel to the 2005 film Fantastic Four and based upon the comic of the same name.

To coincide with the movie release... yes you guessed it a multi-platform (always worrying..) game from Take Two Interactive and 7 studios. The game is set in the world of the upcoming film, but also draws from the pages of the comics for some extra story elements.

However the mediocre movie-licensed games spree may be at an end, well according to IGN. and 1up.

Due June 15th Eu and US on Nintendo DS, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Xbox 360 and the kitchen sink.

The History Channel's Civil War The Game

Also known as The Battle of Bull Run. Last quoted as having a November 2006 outing in US, for ps2 and xbox360. Civil War The Game, is a real-time strategy game that was previously released on the PC back in 2003.

The Battle of Bull Run prides itself on minute details and accurate representation of battles. The weapons should represent the true rates of fire, range, and even how often they would successfully fire. The Bull Run battlefield is modeled from historical maps and different terrain affects the stats and bonuses given to each attacking party.

Players take on the role of a commander that has specific traits changing the way they approach the battlefield. The Civil War plays out with thousands of troops, generals, infantry, cavalry, artillery, and supply wagons. Someone might want to think of a catchier title.
