621 FIFA licensed teams,

Reviews Summary
Be A Pro mode is really top-notch, probably the best game in the FIFA series.
Spot-on control, great atmosphere, more features than ever
The AI can actually defend, it is a shame the AI has so much trouble scoring
Pretty much the same as "FIFA 07" but tighter and more feature-packed than ever.
The FIFA series has come as close as ever to bringing down the Winning Eleven 9 vale of supremacy

Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria (ps2) Reviews

Recently released for the European market, sequel to the original Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, Silmeria is a 30 hour 2D feast for the senses with plenty of replay value, collecting a score of 84% from 39 reviews on Metacritic.com, another classic hits the Ps2.

Reviews Summary
Short by epic RPG standards, but it also makes the game that much more replayable
A difficult and lengthy game built for loyal and determined role-playing adventurers.
Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria is a breath of fresh air in a world of play-alike RPGs
Some one of the most technically and aesthetically pleasing visuals we've seen thus far
Not everyone's going to love the transplanted platform puzzler elements, and RPG purists might be turned off by the wafer-thin town exploration
One of the best games in the PS2 library
If you can get past the stiff difficulty, it has all the elements of a great RPG with its intriguing storyline, compelling combat and deep game mechanics
To put it simply, it's gorgeous in every respect, even though it's only in 2D.

Transformers Game Review (Ps2, Wii)

Based on the 2007 live-action feature film, "Transformers: The Game" lets gamers control the outcome in the battle for Earth as they choose to protect it as either Autobots or Decepticons. For those unfamiliar with Transformers, The Decepticons are the bad guys.

A score of 57%(Wii) and 56% (Ps2) on Metacritic.com, (based on an average of game reviews) would lead you to believe it's a little ahead of the recent spree of abysmal movie tie-ins, but read on.

Warning "doing both the Autobots and Decepticons campaign will only take a mere six hours or so to finish." source Deeko

Reviews Summary Wii
Likeable characters, top-notch production values, and enjoyable gameplay
Those looking for a Transformers fix should scour the bargain bins for that Atari's 2004 release
The boss battles are a frustration, pure movie tie-in fodder
Lack of diverse missions, insipid gameplay and taxing camera system results in a watered-down experience
The skeleton of a great game is here, but nothing comes together.
I can't imagine anyone but diehard fans going to these lengths
Paying $60 to play through the movies story is just too high a price to pay for a mediocre adventure game.

Reviews Summary Ps2
It’s not that this game is terrible, just kind of unimpressive and full of things that have been done better elsewhere.
While the movie stands, the video game most definitely falls.
On par with all other movie licensed games: relatively short, decent graphics, decent gameplay, and not much value to it.
Quickly thrown together with the most basic and juvenile concepts videogaming has.
Big, loud, shallow action game that severely lacks in content.
All the noise and effects in the galaxy can't disguise the lack of invention or class

Odin Sphere Review (Ps2)

vid upped by duckroll

A 2D fantasy action RPG with an emphasis on battle tactics and elaborate storytelling. A pretty exceptional offering and perhaps the last great RPG for the Ps2.
Scoring 84% from 38 reviews on Metacritic.com

Ps2 Reviews Summary
As close to perfection as you're going to get on the PS2
Never have I seen a game so visually pleasing.
A fun game with solid concepts, along with a great musical score and interesting plot.
Animations and graphics all that is worth recommending.
Unique, deep battle and level system, a good storyline, interesting characters and well balanced gameplay
They don't make too many like it anymore.
Repetition is frustratingly similar to that of countless other games
40+ hour adventure, one of the best RPGs to come out on the PS2 in a while

Atelier Iris 3 Review

Atelier Iris 3: Grand Phantasm, released in Japan as Atelier Iris: Grand Fantasm, though with a storyline unrelated to earlier releases. The rpg series where Alchemy forms an important aspect of the combat system. Scoring an average 63% from 17 reviews on Metacritic.com

Reviews Summary
Short (?), slightly repetitive in scope, and lacking a compelling plot
Atelier Iris 3 is a retro-infused, highly inspired classic.
The series is stagnating in gameplay that was obtusely old-fashioned ten years ago
A good basic RPG that isn't too deep, but still has an entertaining edge.
A
n epic adventure is hiding in here somewhere, but AI3 doesn't bother getting around to it till it's done boring you.
Capable of scratching that RPG itch with its enjoyable Afterworlds, innovative battle system, and exceptional soundtrack
Enough depth and charm to keep players involved for the entirety of its 40-plus hours.

Raiden III (Ps2) Review

A port of the classic arcade shooter, complete with a stage select mode that lets you replay stages once you've cleared them. Grudgingly received with a score of 62% from 9 reviews on Metacritic.com with some disquiet about the pricing.

Reviews Summary
Raiden III is a good shmup.
Hasn't a chance of competing with exciting modern shooters Look elsewhere for your shoot-'em-up thrills.
Fans will probably enjoy it, even if there’s little that stands out other than the Dual mode
Even with flaws, it achieves what it sets out to do, deliver "destroy everything"-themed action
If you're really curious about Raiden III, a rental should satisfy your itch.
Doesn't do anything unique to stand out from other modern shoot-'em-ups, and that it isn't priced at a flat-out budget rate is a bit disquieting.
Single-player mode enables you to control both warplanes at once, essentially playing co-op with yourself.

Calling All Cars (Ps3) Review

Vid upped by gamingbits

David Jaffe's (of God Of War fame) premiere PlayStation Network title, in high-definition graphics, offering true 7.1 surround sound support, a split-screen option to enable two players to go online using the same PS3. Read Twisted Metal.

You take the role of a bounty hunter careening around a cartoon world on the hunt for criminals on the loose. The game scores a respectable 76% from just 5 reviews on Metacritic.com.

Scheduled for launch on May 3rd in US, May 18th in Europe.
Price in US $9.99, Europe TBA.

Reviews Summary
A limited number of maps, but it defines "action-packed" and shines as a party game,
A frantic good time that's cut short by a serious lack of content.
Shines when it's you and your buddies sitting on the same couch, playing on the same TV
One of those “tough to master” titles that packs in the fun, particularly in multiplayer sessions.

Burnout Dominator Review (Ps2)

as IGN said, best thought of as a "Greatest Hits, but Not All of Them"

The next installment in the legendary Burnout series, loaded with intense racing action and dozens of retina-searing World Tour events, and with a score of 80% from 8 reviews on Metacritic.com, they haven't upset the forumula.

Reviews Summary
So fun, that you'll find yourself addicted in no time.
A Burnout racing game that fails to achieve must buy status.
No Crash mode and no online play, but Burnout is a wise investment.
Jackson releasing a Best Of, without 'Beat It'
Dominator should satisfy you nicely if your a fan
Not for the weak-hearted because of the difficulty at later levels
When it shines, oh boy, it dazzles

Review God of War II (ps2)

Kratos must journey to the far reaches of the earth and defeat untold horrors and alter that which no mortal, or god has ever changed, his fate.

Scoring an astonishing 96% from 10 reviews on metacritic.com

Reviews Summary
GoW II completely eclipses its forefather, more blood, puzzles, cinematic presentation and fifteen minute long combos.
Delivers one of the best gaming experiences in the video game history
Sony's masterpiece, God of War II, trumps its prequel.
No review can truly capture the magnificence of God of War II
The graphics of GoW II are just as beautiful as ever with some of the best art direction in a game to date
It's not just one element that turned the game into a masterpiece, it's every element

God of War II may in fact be the best action game ever made.

Leprechaun requests: God of War II video review from IGN

Jeez what a night!! Seamus the Leprechaun here, a little the worse for wear after last night, so if you'll excuse me i'll skip the chit chat and get right down to it, and if someones got any headache tablets email em now!!!

Going out to Father Krishna, a 7 minute video review of God of War II "as nearly perfect as they come" said IGN who awarded the game a 9.7 outta 10. Armed with all-new brutal combat moves and magic, players retake the role of Kratos and embark on a new epic adventure to change the fate of mortals and Gods alike.

The request says: "Post for Father Krishna- he has never seen God of War....??
Poor B~@@@$ must be locked in a dungeon!"

Ghost Rider Game Review (ps2) Crap!

Hello Seamus the Leprechaun here!!! how are ye? well the post title says it all, another Movie licensed game heading at full throttle to the bargain bin. How bad?

50% from 9 reviews on Metacritic.com with IGN saying

"The combat is repetitive and clunky, the driving is horrid, and the plot is completely useless"

and Gamespot

"Ghost Rider steals liberally from several major action games, yet somehow avoids stealing the parts that made those games fun."

I shoulda known when I saw the screenshots,

You may wish to visit The Ghost Rider Game Official Website where you can salvage some tasty wallpaper from this ps2 travesty

Thankfully with such horrid reviews I can now concentrate on my Korean Cosplay post, every cloud has a silver lining.

Rogue Galaxy Review (Ps2)

Achieving critical success upon release in Japan December 2005, scoring a 36/40 in Famitsu and an 85 average in Dengeki, Japan's two most popular gaming magazines. Developers Level 5, makers of Dark Chronicle and Dragon Quest VIII, present a sci-fi themed RPG.

Jaster is a young man who dreams of exploring the galaxy. In a sudden turn of fate, he is mistaken for a renowned bounty hunter and recruited into a band of space pirates in a race to find a legendary planet that holds the key to the greatest treasures and eternal life. Clues to ‘Eden’ are scattered round the Galaxy - Jaster will go onto to explore many different worlds and face countless battles in search for these clues – but some treasures are best left undiscovered.

So how did the translation fare?

86% from 12 reviews on Metacritic.com, proving there's life in the old dog yet.

Reviews Summary
Rogue Galaxy is what every RPG should strive to be
Engaging and accessible story, an intuitive control scheme
The game isn't a masterpiece, amount of content is staggering, art direction is stunning
"Dragon Quest VIII," "Kingdom Hearts 2," Rogue tops them all.
Wondrous and sublime, a wealth of RPG riches
A developer working at the height of their powers
A yarn is only as good a s the characters knitting it, Level-5 has learned
At sixty hours of play I've got another sixty I could easily pour in
Probably and sadly the last great RPG that the fading PS2 will see

God of War Threesome

Hello again, tis me Seamus, helping out on the gammy gamer. Well now a kind commenter be the name of Timerunner was just telling us about a possible threesome in that uber difficult and highly praised game God of War for the Ps2. Well it was news to me and a few other visitors, so armed with a very large magnifying glass (which makes things bigger) i decided to investigate this rumour. But as it's Saturday night and the pubs are set to close soon, i'll research the matter down my local, where no doubt after a few tankards people will be more inclined to reveal details on this gaming secret. See ya'll later

Seamus it might be a bad idea to post when your under the influence.......
Seamus! .....Seamus! ---elderly

(several hours later....)

hello this me again.... a ittle bit the worstest for wear.... Hic!

well a few people had heard about threesomes, but it appeared very few had a clue about the God of War threesome and to tell the truth I became too incoherent by the end of the evening to delve any further, I do remember getting my face slapped on a number of occassions, heres what i did discover:

Discovery 1: approaching a female and uttering the words "threesome" is not a very clever idea.

Discovery 2: At the begining of the second level, theres a sub game which is essentially an interactive threesome where you must follow a button matching game to help two naked women reach Clim. . . . (censored. . . elderly), thus giving you experience points that go toward ability upgrades.

Discovery 3: Closing time is a . . . .(Censored.... elderly)

Discovery 4: The game is definitely not for kids, the following list should make this transparent. . . speaking of transparent . . . . (Censored....elderly)

- Nudity
- Interactive sex
- A trip through Hades, with interactive torture
- Blood
- Dismemberment
- Violence against innocent bystanders

Discovery 5: Most of the women in the game are topless. Sirens. Medusa, the frozen-haired snake-lady. Topless or wearing see-through nighties and thongs. Athens, apparently, is like the opposite of a museum, only the female statues wear shirts.

Discovery 6: David Jaffe (games director) sited Heavy Metal Magazine as an inspiration "I love how they mix great fantasy epics with over-the-top sex and violence"

Discovery 7: A Chinese take away always tastes better when it's lukewarm

Discovery 9: On IGN boards
A poll to show opinions on whether there should there be nudity in God of War 2?

Total 79 votes.

20% (16 votes): Yeah there should be nudity again
31% (25 votes): Yes there should be even more!
2% (2 votes): No they should not put nudity in it again
45% (36 votes): I really dont care

......thanks to Xanthian for the correction

Discovery 10: An absolutely nothing to do with this subject link

Looks great, sounds great, has great writing, offers a lengthy and satisfying journey, has a great technical element, engaging sword-swinging and spell-slinging.
The best Final Fantasy game in over a decade
What all RPGs should aspire to be.
As beautiful as it looks, it plays even better
