While there is no taking away from the amazing experience of online play on xboxlive, I am exceedingly irked at the lack of regular downloads on xbox marketplace and the scrooge-like charging for gamercard pictures. Microsoft executive Mr. Peter Moore in response to a question on the future of online gaming, had the following to say.
"In the future, if your console isn't connected, it's no different than a laptop that doesn't connect to the Internet. It's an inferior experience and it really is a step backwards for the industry... Offline seems primitive at this point."
Would it be too much to ask whether Microsoft would apply the same "vision" of the future to the stagnant marketplace experience or are we to assume it's a dead duck?
