Super Mario Galaxy Reviews (Wii)

Due US on 12th and Eu on 16th November, raising the bar in space platforming and replayability scoring 96% from 5 reviews on Metacritic.com.

Reviews Summary
It's rare to play through a perfect game or one that nears perfection, but Galaxy definitely fits that mold.
Nintendo has crafted a platform game that. . . . . . is more fun to play than "Mario 64.
You're going to want to take your time with because there is just so much to do in the game.
This is what gaming ought to be like.
Don't play Galaxy simply because Mario is the timeless godfather of gaming. No, play Galaxy because it's fantastic.

Reviews Summary
Be A Pro mode is really top-notch, probably the best game in the FIFA series.
Spot-on control, great atmosphere, more features than ever
The AI can actually defend, it is a shame the AI has so much trouble scoring
Pretty much the same as "FIFA 07" but tighter and more feature-packed than ever.
The FIFA series has come as close as ever to bringing down the Winning Eleven 9 vale of supremacy

Dancing With the Stars

video upped by Extorsionador

For Ps2 and Wii with an October 23rd release in US, published by Activision but no credits on the Developer and precious little information other than the less than catchy caption

"Shake it up as you tango with the stars of the popular TV show"

exhaustingly energetic trailer though, now if you'll excuse me I must sit down now.

"It's an adventure that is so captivating that you'll be counting the days for the sequel. It takes interactive storytelling to new heights, and brings the player closer to content than ever before. It's easily one of the year's best titles and one of the most impressive games to date."

Folklore Reviews (PS3)

An action/adventure game by Kouji Okada (the father of the Shin Megami Tensei series) that takes you through seven mysterious Earth-like worlds. A competent tour operator Kouji Okada apparently, judging from a score of 76% from 21 reviews from Metacritic

Reviews Summary
Evoking a sense of otherworldliness. . . .in an almost heartbreakingly beautiful way no other game ever has.
Annoying dialogue, bizarre comic book style cut scenes and drab game play. Folklore is one of 2007's biggest disappointments.
Folklore is a delight to play; a game full of wonder.
One part boring adventure game, one part underdeveloped collect-em up, and one part standard dungeon crawl.
Folklore is genius that shines through.
If you’re someone who pines for originality and risk-taking, then Folklore is a tale worth flipping through.
If you want a lot of intense action, look elsewhere. If you want an experience, look here.

Half Life 2 The Orange Box (xbox 360) Reviews

With a Ps3 release due December 2007, The Orange Box compilation includes: Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2:Episode One, Half-Life 2:Episode Two, Portal and Team Fortress 2.
Scoring 98% from 7 reviews on Metacritic.com

Reviews Summary
A sci-fi masterpiece, a clever puzzler and a multiplayer monster wrapped into one
That so much great content is offered at the standard single-game price is astonishing.
A landmark achievement in gaming value and one of the easiest buying decisions you'll make all year
The Orange Box offers everything any fan of first-person shooters could possibly want
While there might be longer games, this is a near-perfect blend of varied games.
It seems that Valve (developers) just can't make a bad game.
The Orange Box is probably the best videogame deal ever.
Each individual game runs amazingly well on the Xbox 360. The graphics are amazing as is the presentation.

Resident Evil 5 and African Zombies

You've heard the debate no doubt and if not take a wee gander here. and here

Games have given us the opportunity to blow the heads of child-like beings, batter prostitutes to death with baseball bats and garotte, blow up and disembowel our foes. Many game titles have placed us in the contentious role of Western soldiers slaughtering our arab and muslim brothers. Resident evil 4 placed us in Spain killing Spanish people.

But when the imagery of a game becomes so unbalanced as Resi 5 appears to be (no one knows what the final game will play like) and people are openly condemned for voicing their opinion on that imagery, then it's time to shout even louder.

I dont' for a minute think that the Japanese developers Capcom purposely set out to cause offence, but I find it hard to believe not one of them considered the loaded imagery as being powerful enough to provoke. If the final game content plays anything like the trailers and the game passes the censors office then censorship ain't worth squat!!! and this gamer won't be adding to Capcoms coffers... they'll be plenty of zombies to kill elsewhere.
