Bethesda Star Trek Legacy Site opens

At present only a teaser site, but well worth a visit for the screenshots and game updates.

" Lead your task force of warships to victory as the Admiral of the fleet. Star Trek: Legacy tests your strategic and tactical skills in real-time combat featuring authentic spaceships, full damage modeling, and spectacular visual effects.

Spanning the entire Star Trek Universe, including the Original Series, Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, and Enterprise eras, battle your way through graphically stunning space environments in either single player or multiplayer mode."

Bethesda are obviously intent on making sure this elderly gamer dosen't get up of the couch, which given my cholestrol levels could lead to tears. What a way to go though, coronary at warp factor 9.

Not to sure of this one...? I dout this would be one that I would ever invest in... I will stick with Oblivion.

Oblivion, I can't put it down, thankfully at present theres not much else I want to play. But I have fancied myself from time to time as a star fleet captain, so I might give this a weekend trial, unless the reviews are through the roof.

True, true... see how the reviews go. I guess I could stand taking on some Borg!

Ditto some encouraging words from uhuru, seven of nine or T'pau wouldn't go astray.

THIS GAME IS OFF THE HOOK, WHAT ABOUT SINGLE CONSOLE MULTIPLAYER (NOT ON LINE)?

Muliplayer offline allows up to 4 players. A skirmish mode allows you to jump in and start fighting outside the confines of the narrative. Just pick your race (Federation, Klingon, Romulan, Borg), choose your era, fleet size, starting command points, time limit, and number of respawns allowed.

however the muliplayer has received some critism, gamespot i beleive described it as "tacked on"
