Ps3 anti-marketing strategy

Not content with pissing off the Europeans,

News that the PS3 will initially ship with everything needed for high definition playback. Everything except for high definition cables, that is. (neat trick that.....)

Luckily Deitrix (he of Harley Davidson and Lost Lair fame) has not alone contributed to this post, but also saved the day by posting this uber fascinating IGN review of the PS3 demo kit (boasting outdated firmware and an el cheapo non-vibrating plasticy controller).

Pity Sony aren't as enthusiastic about winning hearts and minds.

thanks Deitrix!

Hope the controllers are not as bad as the Gamecubes..?
I bet the HDMI cable will be outrageous as well.... why go cheap on us now Sony..??

rumour that the ps3 controller will have to go back to Sony for a battery replacement. Speculation says battery should last 3 years, so not so bad. Rumour also that once the console gets turned off (not standby), you will need to "restablish" connection with the controller by using a USB cable. Problem is nobody knows for sure.
